Berlin,Paris

The journey for our 2027SS exhibition season started in Berlin.

This time, I was originally scheduled to fly to Berlin via Paris, but right from the start, things didn’t go as planned. Due to bad weather, my flight was canceled, and unexpectedly I ended up spending the night in the hallway of Charles de Gaulle Airport.

Fortunately, I was able to get on a flight the following day, but my route changed to Berlin via Amsterdam, with a five-hour layover.

Since I had some extra time, I decided to use the opportunity for a bit of research and headed into the city of Amsterdam.

The weather was beautiful, and the scenery was amazing — perfect for photos. But despite it being only the morning, it was incredibly hot. I was completely exhausted by the heat and eventually made my way back to the airport.

Then came another delay: one more hour before departure.

By the time I finally arrived in Berlin, more than 30 hours had passed since I had left Japan.

At that point, what I was most worried about was my suitcase, which I had checked in while carrying it with me throughout the trip. Seeing it safely arrive in Berlin was a huge relief.

The exhibition venue was the same brick warehouse we always use.

I actually learned for the first time that the building had originally been used as an ice

storage warehouse many years ago.

Berlin was also experiencing very high temperatures during the day, but despite the heat, I had the chance to meet many people and spend some truly meaningful days there.

After successfully completing three days of exhibitions in Berlin, it was time to head to Paris.

This season marked maru sankaku peke’s first showroom presentation in Paris.

The space itself had a very Parisian atmosphere — an old building with white walls, large windows, and beautifully worn wooden floors that carried years of history.

The showroom had no air conditioning, and with news reports predicting record-breaking temperatures, I was a little worried about attendance.

Despite the heat, so many people came to visit us, and I was incredibly happy and grateful.

I hope we can continue working hard and return to Paris again for future exhibitions.
